Grant Thornton Names New Director

, the professional services firm, has appointed Mike Carpenter as a director.

Carpenter has more than 13 years' experience and has worked at a top four accountancy firm both in the UK and Guernsey, providing audit and assurance-based services to the financial services sector, Grant Thornton said in a statement. His previous work experience involves providing services to a range of local and international businesses within the financial services industry with a focus on asset management and insurance sectors.

Additionally, he has worked with real estate and infrastructure clients throughout his career and, in recent years, has provided audit services to their funds and corporate structures, as well as collaborating with new emerging asset management groups and start-up companies.

In his new role, he will be part of Grant Thornton's audit and advisory practice.
