City Financial Hires Four From Fortress Investment

, an investment house, has appointed four former Fortress Investment employees to senior operations roles within the firm.

Amy Wong, William Dumas and Justin Brodersen will be based in New York, while Simon Taylor will be situated in London.

While at Fortress Investment, Wong was co-director of operations and treasury; Dumas was co-director of of operations; Brodersen was director of middle office; and Taylor was UK operations manager. In their new roles, all four will report to Lou Thorne, global chief operating officer. Thorne also joined City Financial from Fortress Investment last month, where he was previously managing director and global chief operating officer of the latter firm's liquid markets hedge fund business.

“It is a testament to the firm that Lou has been able to attract his former colleagues to City Financial, and I’m confident that their collective experience will prove invaluable as we build our business and launch new investment strategies,” said Andrew Williams, City Financial's chief executive.

This publication is awaiting confirmation as to whether the roles are newly-created or if the four are replacing anyone and will update accordingly.
