Vestra Wealth, the firm set up by a former UBS senior manager last year, has appointed Mike Batchelor, the former head of wealth management for Kleinwort Benson as a partner, as well as a number of other Kleinwort Benson senior managers.

Mr Batchelor will work with Vestra’s founder, David Scott, in managing the expansion of the business, which is headquartered in London’s City district.

In addition, Vestra has also recruited Joe Davies, Matthew Guy, and Paul Rihal from Kleinwort Benson, along with Matthew Osobase from Close Brothers. Chris Stothard and Duncan Wilson have joined from Brewin Dolphin.

In January, Vestra announced its advisory board team, which includes Prince Rupert Loewenstein, the former financial advisor to The Rolling Stones rock group and Derek Scott, a former economic advisor to ex-UK prime minister Tony Blair.
