NY Luxury Firm Launches Concierge Service

High net worth clients still see entertainment and personal lifestyle accoutrements as necessities despite the chillier economic climate, according to Manhattan-based luxury marketing company Music and Commerce, which is launching a concierge unit called Private Client Services. "High net worth individuals are still experiencing travel, purchasing high ticket items and seeking out services that make their lives more fulfilling and offer them access to added convenience," says Marc Hagins, a partner in Music and Commerce. "What we are seeing with our clients are family excursions to help build school houses in Africa, attending A-list charity galas or visiting a European country where their great grand parents were from, rather than superfluous visits to privately owned boutiques and one on one attention at exclusive vacations resorts,” says Mr Hagins. A number of private banks and wealth management businesses operate concierge services either as a bespoke service or as a stand-alone product. The sector has boomed in recent years on the back of rising wealth although it has been squeezed by the impact of the credit crunch. The company has worked with and represented some of the top luxury companies in the world, including Graff Jewellers, Mercedes Benz, and the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons hotel chains. They also produce high-end events for companies like Elite Traveler, the MTV Video Music Awards, and the British Royal Family.
