The selection of Fundsdirect sees Chartwell enter the wrap platform market for the first time. Chartwell will use the platform to power and launch its “Investor Centre” proposition, serving its advisory and direct investment broking businesses. Chartwell expects to migrate most of its clients over to the respective platforms within the next 3-5 years.

Based in Bath, Chartwell has over 35,000 clients nationally and over £2 billion ($2.9 billion) assets under agency. It is a privately owned company with a range of operating businesses, including Chartwell Private Client and Chartwell Direct.

In addition to funds and structured products, UK-based Ascentric also offers a range of securities, investment trusts, venture capital trusts, bonds, gilts, and collectives with non-correlating asset classes, such as fine wine, timber and hotels.
