London-listed has appointed Martin Lunt to the newly-created role of chief information officer.

Lunt, based in Liverpool, joins from the KPMG CIO Advisory Group where he was a director. He previously worked at ICI, AstraZeneca, Getronics and Barclays.

“Martin’s experience will be invaluable in helping us develop our existing IT infrastructure together with fresh ideas on how IT can support the growth strategy,” said Philip Howell, chief executive of Rathbones.

Rathbones recently revealed that its pre-tax profit fell 28.3 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2016 to £22.8 million ($29.9 million) at the hands of costs of its acquisition of Vision and Castle, and its planned London office move.
