Centaur Asset Management Appoints Corporate Counsel

has appointed Rose Omundi as corporate counsel.

Now based in Dubai, Omundi was previously senior legal counsel at Ecobank Kenya and company secretary to two of the bank’s subsidiary companies, EKE Property and Eco Insurance Agency. She brings experience in corporate, commercial law, banking sector governance, regulatory and compliance issues. She has also been involved in drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, structuring loan transactions and security arrangements.

A qualified advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Omundi is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya).

“She brings with her a wealth of practical experience that will hugely benefit the business and our investors. There is a real sense of momentum behind the firm at present, and Rose joins a number of other high-level appointments, which have reinforced our capabilities and standing in the industry,” said Daniel McGowan, group chief executive of Centaur Holdings.

The appointment follows that of Peter Wane, who recently joined Centaur Asset Management as group chief financial officer.
