has added five platforms to the recently-established Millennium Alternative Investment Network, bringing the total number of platforms listed on MAIN to nine.

“Not only does MAIN provide individuals and advisors with access to a range of investment platforms and alternative assets they may not have previous been aware of,” said Scott McCartan, chief executive of Millennium Trust Company, when MAIN was launched in January, “but we’ve also learned from the fintech industry’s laser-focus on the user experience. Investing in alternatives has historically been a cumbersome, paper-centric process and we are committed to using technology to change that.”

The new joiners are: EquityZen, a marketplace for pre-IPO investments; iCapital Network, which offers private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital and hedge funds; Lending Club, the online credit marketplace; Prodigy Network, the global crowd-investing platform; and R J Oasis, a provider of alternative investment services.
