Redington, a UK-based independent investment consultanty, has appointed Mitesh Sheth as chief executive of the company, effective 5 April. Sheth currently serves as Redington’s managing director, where he leads business development communications and digital marketing teams. He started at the company as a director of strategy in 2013. Previously, he worked as head of fixed income at Henderson Global Investors. “Mitesh’s appointment as CEO ensures we are well placed to accelerate our efforts in helping our current and future clients meet the challenges posed over the next decade,” said Redington co-founders Robert Gardner and Dawid Konotey-Ahulu. Gardner and Konotey-Ahulu are stepping down as co-CEO’s to “dedicate more of their time to clients, innovation and people development whilst ensuring that Redington has focused leadership,” according to a press statement. They are both remaining as the majority shareholders of the company. Redington was launched in 2006 and advises on £400 billion ($579.6 billion) of assets.
