Private Bank has hired Diana Robinson as head of equities for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Robinson joins from RG Associates, a financial services consulting and coaching business which she set up and ran from 2009. She was previously part of the European and US equities management teams at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Based in London, she will be responsible for developing investment ideas and global equity solutions, while managing relationships with high and ultra-high net worth clients in the EMEA region. Robinson replaces Leandro Veltri, who has left the firm.

“Diana’s deep background in equities, combined with her client-focused mindset, is sure to be a great asset for our clients in EMEA. As well, she spent nearly a decade at the firm earlier in her career, and we are excited to welcome her back,” said Peter Gabriele, JP Morgan Private Bank's EMEA regional investments team lead.

Through its private banking franchise, JP Morgan offers wealth management advice and solutions, covering investing, tax and estate planning, family office management, philanthropy, credit, fiduciary and special advisory services.

JP Morgan recently reported net income of $5.4 billion for the final quarter of 2015, an increase of 10 per cent compared to the same period a year ago. Its private banking client assets under management stood at $436 billion at end-December 2015, up from $428 billion a year ago.
