’s head of multi-manager, Mark Harries, is leaving the London-listed company. Aberdeen's head of manager research, Simon Wood, and its multi-asset director, Graham Duce, will continue to manage the multi-manager portfolios, supported by a 14-strong investment team. Harries took on the leadership of the multi-manager portfolios last year alongside Wood after Aberdeen's £550 million ($825 million) acquisition of their former employer, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. “Following the successful integration of the Swip Investment Solutions team into the Aberdeen business, Mark Harries is leaving the business,” said a spokesperson for Aberdeen Asset Management. “Overall the combined team is responsible for managing client investments of around £15 billion in unfettered mandates where Aberdeen’s Investment Solutions business uses third party managers.” Aberdeen recently revealed it had boosted its net revenue by 5 per cent to £1.169 billion but its assets under management fell 13 per cent to £283.7 billion over the year to the end of September amid emerging market volatilities.
