BMO Global Asset Management Appoints Italian Sales Head

has hired Giampaolo Giannelli from Invesco as head of sales for Italy.

Giannelli joins from Invesco Asset Management where he was head of Italian professional investors. Here, he was also responsible for wholesale and retail clients in the Greek market. He previously worked across the Italian wholesale and retail markets as sales director at Fidelity International.

In the new role, he will be based in Milan, responsible for the distribution of the firm’s products and strategies in Italy for both wholesale and institutional clients.

“We are pleased to welcome someone with Giampaolo’s expertise to BMO Global Asset Management, as we continue our expansion across Europe,” said Georg Kyd-Rebenburg, head of European wholesale distribution. 

“It is great to be able to announce an addition to our European distribution team for another key market for the business. We are looking forward to working with Giampaolo to be able to offer our full range of capabilities and strategies to investors in Italy.”

The appointment follows that of Rochus Appert last month as senior sales director for German-speaking Switzerland.

BMO Global Asset Management operates from 27 offices across 17 countries with more than $244 billion in assets under management as of the end of July.
