Lombard Odier Names New CEO For Private Client Arm In UK; Predecessor Returns To Switzerland

Swiss private banking house named Duncan MacIntyre as its new chief executive for private client business in the UK, taking over the reins from Dominic Tremlett who has held the role for the past three years. In his new role, Tremlett will remain focused on further developing Lombard Odier's private client franchise.

MacIntyre previously worked at Coutts, the private bank. He takes up the new job on 4 January.

At Coutts, MacIntyre founded and was global head of Coutts Private Office and was a member of that bank’s executive committee from 2010. Prior to Coutts, MacInthyre was a senior private banker at JP Morgan, which he joined from Robert Fleming & Co in 2000. MacIntyre began his career at HSBC James Capel in the private client investment management business.

In his hew position, MacIntyre will report to Henry Fischel-Bock, Lombard Odier Group's managing director responsible for the domestic European private client business and CEO of Lombard Odier (Europe).

The Swiss bank oversaw $120 billion on behalf of private clients at the end of June 2015.

“The UK is an important location for private client financial services, both because of the depth of the UK market and for international clients looking for the regulatory rigour, political stability and professionalism found there,” Fischel-Bock said

“Duncan’s appointment to lead our private client business here is a further commitment to our UK presence and part of our plans to expand our services and offer. Duncan has a proven track record building high-end private client wealth management and planning practices,” he said.
