EXCLUSIVE: Private Bank's Chief Operating Officer For UK, Jersey To Depart

Brendan MacKinney, chief operating officer for Standard Chartered’s private bank in the UK and Jersey, is leaving the firm at the end of this year, this publication can exclusively report.

MacKinney had held the post since May 2013 and had held various senior roles at Standard Chartered since January 2011. From 2008 to 2010 he was a managing director at JP Morgan, holding a variety of roles; from May 2005 to May 2008, he was a managing director at Bear Stearns, according to his Linkedin profile.

UK-listed declined to comment on the matter.

Among recent high-level changes at the bank, Standard Chartered announced earlier in October that it had appointed Ian Gibson as regional head, private banking, Africa, Middle East and Europe. In 15 September, WealthBriefingAsia, sister news service to this one, exclusively reported that Rajesh Malkani, regional head, private banking for Africa, MENAP and South Asia at the firm was leaving the bank at the end of September. Gibson took on a substantial part of Malkani’s former role.
