Schroders-Owned Wealth Manager Boosts Fund Management Team

London-based has hired Paul Atkinson and Oliver Becket within its discretionary fund management team. Atkinson and Becket join Cazenove Capital, which was acquired by Schroders in 2013, as regional business development managers. Atkinson joins from Quilter Cheviot and brings over 25 years’ investment experience. He will lead business development and manage relationships with financial advisors in the North of England working closely with the company's portfolio directors. Becket, who previously held intermediary sales roles at Henderson Global Investors and Vanguard Asset Management, will be responsible for the Midlands and South West of England. “They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge and will be invaluable in helping us expand our footprint in the UK as we look to build on our success in working with the advisor community,” said Cazenove Capital's head of discretionary fund management, Nick Georgiadis. The wealth management arm of Schroders managed £32 billion ($50 billion) in client assets globally as of the end of June.
