Crux Asset Management Appoints Its First COO

London-based has appointed Karen Zachary as chief operating officer. Zachary served as global head of client operations and outsourcing at Man Group until the end of last year and brings 20 years’ asset management experience across both alternatives and traditional products. Before Man Group, she was director of client service operations at Henderson Global Investors. She takes on the newly-created role at the asset management company, which was established last year, and will report to chief executive Alistair Reid. “Karen is joining Crux at an extremely exciting time and the experience she brings will be invaluable as we look to grow our business. We feel very fortunate to have attracted someone of Karen’s professional standing within the industry to Crux," said Reid. The firm's flagship fund, the Crux European Special Situations fund, was launched by Richard Pease and James Milne while at Henderson Global Investors.
