M&G Officially Launches Into Belgium's Market

, the UK-headquartered asset manager, has officially launched for business in Belgium, following its hiring of a sales manager dedicated to serving this country and Luxembourg. The firm said Kelly Hebert’s appointment as sales manager, and the registration of 34 M&G mutual funds across various asset classes, has made the launch possible. Brice Anger, director, France and Belgium, M&G Investments, will lead the firm’s wholesale activities in Belgium, the company said in a statement. M&G has been active in Belgium since 2009, operating under the private placement regime. To date, its clients have been predominantly global and domestic banks, asset managers and fund of fund managers. While continuing to develop these relationships, M&G will now also target private and retail banks, independent financial advisors and fund platforms to reach €2 billion ($2.32 billion) of assets under management in Belgium and Luxembourg over the next three years, the statement added.
