Revere Capital Advisors, the
New York and
London based investment group created by former Man Group executives, is making Giles McClelland head of hedge fund development and Andrew Godfrey head of manager selection in its North American office.
Mr McClelland takes responsibility for a series of core functions at
Revere, including investment strategy, manager sourcing, due diligence and post-transaction monitoring and will be based in the
London office. He joins from the Man Group, where he spent nearly 14 years, most recently in the Investment Management Division. Mr McClelland worked in the New Manager Initiatives Team which was responsible for seeding and developing early stage hedge fund managers and latterly was global head of hedge fund development at Man Global Strategies.
Mr Godfrey will undertake manager selection and manager development in
North America. Mr Godfrey joins from Focus Investment Group where he was head of the Emerging Manager Programme, responsible for the development of early stage hedge fund managers, and a member of the Asset Management Committee. Mr Godfrey’s responsibilities in his new role will also include distribution for
North America. He will be based in the
New York office.
Revere Capital Advisors was founded by former Man Group executives, including ex-chairman and chief executive Harvey McGrath and former chief finance officer Dan Barnett, to invest in early stage hedge fund managers.
The first two managers on the
Revere platform are Dickson Capital Management, a fundamental long/short equity fund based in
London and Broadmark Asset Management, a
San Francisco manager running futures and long/short full exposure strategies focused on the
US market.
