Oregon Bank Launches Asset Management Division Under Ex RBC Luminary

Oregon-based Umpqua Bank is launching an asset management division to be headed by a former senior managing director of Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management. Kelly Johnson will head a unit charged with evaluating public and private investment opportunities that deliver returns for
Mr Johnson will be responsible for building and managing a team that will oversee asset management and trust services including oversight of the bank's private client services group. The addition will complement services already offered by the bank's affiliate brokerage firm
