CFA Institute Announces New President, CEO

Nick Parmee

7 January 2009

The Chartered Financial Analyst Institute has named John Rogers as the global association’s new president and chief executive. His term of office begins immediately, succeeding Jeff Diermeier, who had been in post since January 2005.

Mr Rogers brings to CFA Institute more than two decades of global experience as an investment practitioner and executive in the Asia Pacific region.  Most recently, he returned to the US as president and chief executive of INVESCO Institutional, with worldwide responsibilities for this part of the firm’s business.

As well as professional qualifications, the organisation says it promotes high ethical standards and investor protection through professional codes of conduct and guidance.
