International law firm Appleby will open an office in Zurich next month and in Dubai in the new year.
The firm’s new Zurich office will focus on the private wealth markets, providing direct access to offshore services for private banks, wealth managers and offshore Middle East and Asia-based clients. It will be staffed by one partner and an assistant.
The Dubai office will be staffed by two partners, including Jeanne Bartlett, head of the firm's global structured finance practice, and an assistant. It will concentrate on fund management, property and private client services.
The firm now has over 700 professionals including 54 partners. It is present in London and Hong Kong as well as in a number of offshore jurisdictions.
