Gartmore Poaches Investment Chief From UK Rival

UK asset management houseGartmore Investment Management said it has appointed Dominic Rossi as chief investment officer, hiring him from rival firm Threadneedle, where he was head of equities.
At Gartmore, Mr Rossi will be responsible for its investment division, which has £24 billion in assets under management and includes over 90 investment professionals located in
London,
Tokyo and
Boston. He will report to Jeff Meyer, Gartmore’s president and chief executive.
Gartmore is owned by the
US private equity firm Hellman & Friedman and Gartmore’s senior fund managers and executives.
