Two investment management teams have now joined Charles Stanley’s Asset Management following its acquisition in April of the UK Private Client stockbroking business of Insinger de Beaufort.
The two teams, led by Frank Martin and Elissa Bayer, will add total funds under management of over £250 million.
Ms Bayer said: “Joining Charles Stanley has been a natural fit for us. Of all the options that were presented to us we felt that the company would best serve our clients’ individual needs. We have been hugely impressed by the attention to detail and client-focus taken by everyone at Charles Stanley. The back-office is extremely well run and we have really appreciated the warm welcome extended to us both in London and across the 30-strong branch network.”
Sir David Howard, chairman of Charles Stanley said that his firm’s bid was accepted by Insinger de Beaufort after strong competition.
“This is one of a number of transactions that we have been working on in recent months. We announced another success, the acquisition of the business of Truro Stockbrokers and recently opened offices in Bristol and Leeds,” he said.
