Merrill Appoints Team of Four in Netherlands

Merrill Lynch has appointed four financial advisors from Fortis Private Investment Management and Bank Degroof to strengthen its wealth management business in the Netherlands.  The four will form a team based in Amsterdam and will report to Geoffrey Bruyn, market leader for the Netherlands, Global Wealth Management, Merrill Lynch.  

Joining Merrill Lynch from Fortis PIM are Martijn Duijnstee, Rob van Duist and Floris van Zinnicq Bergmann. Jeroen van Lom joins from Bank Degroof. All four have extensive private banking experience, according to a statement from Merrill.

Prior to Fortis PIM, Mr Duijnstee, Mr Van Duist and Mr van Zinnicq Bergmann worked as senior financial advisors for banks including ING, MeesPierson, Prudential-Bache and Dryden. Before Bank Degroof, Mr van Lom worked as a financial advisor for Van der Moolen, ITC and Intal.

At Merrill, the team will focus on business owners, corporate executives and high net worth private clients, providing tailor-made solutions in investment management and wealth structuring.
