Credit Suisse Appoints Former BoJ Director as Japan Chairman

Credit Suisse has moved one-time Bank of Japan executive director Masayuki Matsushima into the role of chairman to strengthen its business in Japan, according to a statement reported on Bloomberg.

Mr Matsushima joined Credit Suisse in February 2005 as a senior executive advisor in Japan, according to the statement.

In a separate move,Yuji Suzuki will step down as chairman of Credit Suisse Group Japan representative office, while remaining the statutory auditor.
