Doha Strikes Mutual Funds Deal with Indian Manager

Doha Bank has finalised an agreement with Indian asset management company Kotak Mahindra for the distribution of mutual funds in Qatar. Mahindra is one of the fastest growing asset management companies in India. Its mutual funds are designed to appeal especially to Indian expatriates in the Gulf state. The bank is growing its investment product portfolio following the opening of an office in Dubai and a projected opening in Kuwait. Doha said that the funds would be available through all of its branches. Doha has also recently signed investment product deals with UTI Mutual Fund, Reliance Mutual Fund, Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund and Sundaram BNP Paribas Mutual Fund.
