Non-Executive Director Appointed At Brooks Macdonald

London-headquartered Brooks Macdonald Group has appointed a non-executive director.

London-headquartered Brooks Macdonald Group has appointed a non-executive director.

Starting on 1 August, Richard Price will become a member of the firm’s audit committee, as well as its risk and compliance committee.

His appointment follows Brook Macdonald's initiative to redress the balance between executive and non-executive directors on its board in line with best corporate governance practice, a spokesperson for the firm told this publication.

Price leaves KPMG after a 28-year tenure, where he held a directorship as well as UK head of the firm’s financial transaction services practice.

He also has a directorship at Think Money Group, an online money-managing account service.

“[Price] has spent much of his career at KPMG involved with clients in the financial services sector and his experience and expertise will be of considerable benefit to the board and to the Brooks Macdonald Group as a whole,” said Chris Knight, chairman of Brooks Macdonald in a statement.
