Swiss bank Vontobelhas appointed Philippe Bonvin as head of outcome driven investments to help expand the firm's multi-asset-class boutique.

Swiss bank Vontobel has appointed Philippe Bonvin as head of outcome driven investments to help expand the firm's multi-asset-class boutique.

Bonvin has over 20 years of experience managing institutional multi-asset class portfolios and was most recently the head of the asymmetric portfolio solutions team at UBS Global Asset Management. Before this, he held various portfolio management positions at UBS and Swiss Bank Corporation.

"With Philippe Bonvin, we have increased our expertise in the key area of outcome driven Investments, a move which will benefit our private and institutional clients," said Christophe Bernard, chief strategist at Vontobel.

In March, Vontobel appointed Daniel Signer as head of relationship management for Swiss institutional clients. He replaced Lukas Bolfing, who since October 2013 has been head of sales for multi-asset class investing strategies.

Other recent hires include, Christian Hoeg as its new country manager in Germany as well as Anton Oberhofer and Thomas Haltner to its global balanced Switzerland team.
