Offshore Law Firm Hires Expert In Russian Affairs For BVI Practice In London

Carey Olsen, the offshore law firm, has appointed Claire McConway as counsel within the British Virgin Islands practice.

In this London-based role, McConway will focus on developing the firm’s Russian practice, it said in a statement.
Prior to this, McConway was a corporate lawyer for nine years at international UK and US firms in London. She was a specialist in advice on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and equity capital markets work.
Previously, she spent four years with an offshore law firm in Bermuda, Moscow and London, where she managed the Moscow office, Carey Olsen said.
McConway has a strong background in corporate and finance transactions involving Russia and the CIS, which often utilize BVI companies.
