UBS has joined bank Vontobel's multi-issuer platform for structured products, deritrade.

UBS has joined bank Vontobel's multi-issuer platform for structured products, deritrade.

With the addition of UBS the platform now has products from Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Société Générale. This adds to the reduction in production costs by being grouped together on a central issuing platform, Vontobel said in a statement.

The platform ensures that issuers’ products are tailored and transparently comparable structured products by ensuring that they are fully compliant with the investor protection rules set out in the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, which, among other things, imposes stringent requirements regarding the comparability of set prices.

Specialising in active asset management and investment solutions, Vontobel held approximately SFr163 billion ($184.4 billion) of assets as of 31 December 2013.
