Switzerland's Vontobel Strengthens Management Team

Switzerland’s Vontobel Asset Management has appointed Daniel Signer as head of relationship management for Swiss institutional clients.

Switzerland’s Vontobel Asset Management has appointed Daniel Signer as head of relationship management for Swiss institutional clients.

He replaces Lukas Bolfing, who since October 2013 has been head of sales for multi-asset class investing strategies.

Signer has been with Vontobel Asset Management as senior relationship manager and deputy head of the Swiss Institutional sales team since November 2012.

Before this, he worked as senior investment consultant at Complementa, where he advised pension funds and other institutional clients in investment areas.

Last month, Vontobel said it logged record new money of SFr9.1 billion ($10.1 billion) in 2013,  helping to drive up total assets under management to SFr163.1 billion at the end of December last year, up 9 per cent from a year before.

The bank also reported a net profit of SFr122.3 million, which was in line with 2012.

In other recent hires, in January Vontobel appointed Christian Hoeg as its new country manager in Germany as well as Anton Oberhofer and Thomas Haltner to its global balanced Switzerland team.
