UK Investment Firm Views US As Target Market; Names Sales Director
UK-based Waverton Investment Management has named Andrew Vaughan-Payne as US sales director, as the firm identifies the US as a “target market.”
UK-based Waverton Investment Management has named Andrew Vaughan-Payne as US sales director, while the firm flags the US as a “target market.”
Based in London, Vaughan-Payne will work with the global portfolio management team to develop opportunities for private clients, trusts, charities and specialist mandates in the US.
“We have looked after US clients for a number of years and are regularly approached by US based advisers, whose clients want to invest in global and European equity mandates,” said Hugh Grootenhuis, chief executive of Waverton.
Vaughan-Payne joins Waverton from Lazard in London, where he was director of US equities and covered UK and European clients. He spent 16 years in institutional equity sales at firms including Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley.
Waverton is a discretionary investment management boutique
serving private client individuals, trusts, charities, and
institutions. As at December 31, 2013, the firm had approximately
£4.5 billion ($7.6 billion) in assets under management.
