Citi Private Bank Appoints Investment Strategist For Asia-Pacific
Citi Private Bank has appointed Ken Peng as investment strategist for the Asia-Pacific region, having previously worked at BNP Paribas.
Citi Private Bank has appointed Ken Peng as investment strategist for the Asia-Pacific region, having previously worked at BNP Paribas.
Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Steven Wieting, global chief investment strategist and So-Yon Sohn, Asia-Pacific head of investments.
Peng will be responsible for formulating investment views and strategies for Asian markets across asset classes. He will also join the bank’s global investment committee to contribute to the bank’s asset allocation decisions.
In his previous job at BNP Paribas, Peng was a senior China economist for the past two years. Prior to that, he had worked for Citi's investment research arm for 11 years.
Based in Beijing and Shanghai, he covered China macro investment themes and Asia regional economics. He has also covered the US economy and markets for Citi’s investment research arm in New York.
He has published extensively at Citi and at BNP Paribas, as well as in public media in both English and Mandarin. Peng was born in Beijing and grew up in the US.
