Jupiter Fund Management Names New CEO

Jupiter Fund Management, the UK investment house, has appointed Maarten Slendebroek as group chief executive, taking over from Edward Bonham Carter with effect from 17 March 2014.

Bonham Carter, effective 17 March 2014.

Bonham Carter will remain on the board and take on a new
executive role as vice chairman, reporting to Slendebroek, Jupiter
said in a statement.

Bonham Carter joined Jupiter in 1994 as a UK
fund manager after working at both Schroders and Electra Investment Trust.

He was
appointed chief investment officer in 1999 and joint group chief executive of
Jupiter Investment Management Group in May 2000. He became group chief executive
of the company in June 2007, a position he held until February 2010. 

Slendebroek
joined Jupiter in September 2012 as distribution and strategy director. 

Before this, he was at BlackRock for 18 years, latterly as head of international retail.

Earlier
in his career, Slendebroek worked as an investment analyst at Enskilda
Securities, Morgan Grenfell and Wesselius.
