F&C Fund Manager Resigns, Moves To Jupiter

London-listed F&C has confirmed that Robert Siddles has resigned from his role as fund manager for the F&C US Smaller Companies OEIC and SICAV, and will leave F&C at the end of the year after 12 years with the firm.

Current deputy manager, Nish Patel, will succeed Siddles, the firm told this publication in an emailed statement.

Patel has worked with Siddles for the last six years. He joined F&C in November 2007 and has nine years’ experience in financial services.

Siddles will take up a new role at UK-listed Jupiter to manage its US small cap portfolios.

Prior to F&C, Siddles, with 26 years’ experience covering US equities as an analyst and fund manager, was at Gartmore Investment Management between 1992 and 2000, as head of US equities. He also served at Capel-Cure Myers for five years as a US portfolio manager.

In his new role at Jupiter, Siddles will run US small cap portfolios, working alongside Sebastian Radcliffe, who has served at Jupiter for 15 years and manages large cap US and global equity income portfolios, including the £488 million (around $792 million) Jupiter North American Income Fund.
