Richard Wilson is joining the London-listed asset manager
as head of marketing, responsible for the firm’s global marketing strategy.
Wilson, who will join Jupiter on 6 November 2013, has 27
years experience with marketing in the asset management sector, most recently
at HSBC Global Asset Management. Prior to this, he was marketing director at
Henderson Global Investors and New Star Asset Management.
“Jupiter has, in recent years, expanded beyond its domestic
base to new regions, building client relationships in markets such as Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. Richard
will be spearheading the continued internationalisation and reach of the
Jupiter brand,” added Maarten Slendebroek, distribution and strategy director
Earlier in his career, Wilson
worked for Aberdeen Asset Management, Prolific Unit Trust Managers and Save
& Prosper in various marketing roles. He has also taken an active role in the
asset management industry, acting as chairman of the IMA’s retail marketing
group between 2009 and 2010.
