OppenheimerFunds Promotes President

Eliane Chavagnon, Reporter, 4 June 2013

OppenheimerFunds has promoted executive vice president and chief investment officer Art Steinmetz to president.

As president and CIO, Steinmetz, who joined the firm in 1986, will continue to report to chairman and chief executive Bill Glavin.

Meanwhile, OppenheimerFunds' team of CIOs will continue reporting to Steinmetz, who the firm said will continue to co-manage his existing investment strategies and portfolios.

In other recent news, Mark Hamilton was hired in April as CIO of asset allocation, a newly-created role. He reports to Steinmetz.
