Brewin Recruits Speirs & Jeffrey Veteran In Glasgow

Brewin Dolphin, the UK-listed private client wealth management firm, has appointed Alan Riddell as divisional director in its Glasgow office.

Riddell, who joins on 5 November, was formerly a senior associate director at Speirs & Jeffrey, having worked at the firm for 25 years. While at Speirs & Jeffrey he served clients on both an advisory and discretionary basis, running £160 million ($258 million) in client money. In addition, he headed the investment team and oversaw recruitment, training and personal development within the department.

At Brewin Riddell will serve private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities, while also spearheading the growth of the firm’s client book, Brewin said in a statement.
