UK Law Firm Names Head Of Hong Kong Branch
SJ Berwin, the London-headquartered law firm, has bolstered its Asian expansion strategy by naming a new head for its Hong Kong office.
Effective 1 October 2012, George Pinkham becomes head of the Hong Kong business, responsible for furthering the company's expansion plans across Asia-Pacific, particularly in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The focus will be on private equity, corporate and litigation/dispute resolution.
Pinkham founded the Paris office in 2001 and has served as a member of the Strategy Committee for a decade. Even with the appointment, he remains co-head of the international funds department alongside Jonathan Blake. He will also be working closely with Peter Anderson for corporate, Giovanna Kwong for dispute resolution, and Tony Gibson for investment funds.
Joining him in Hong Kong is Guo Sun Lee, London senior associate, who has spent the last five years working out of the London office on a number of key private equity clients from worldwide.
SJ Berwin has 11 offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
