Citi Opens Boca Raton Office With Merrill Hires

Citi Private Bank has opened an office in Boca Raton, Florida and has hired two from Merrill Lynch Wealth Management to staff it. William Goettert and John Entenberg join as managing directors and private bankers from Merrill’s Weston, Florida office. They report to Mark Maller, head of Citi Private Bank in Florida.

The private bank also has offices in Palm Beach and Miami. “We are strongly committed to Florida and plan to continue growing throughout the state by adding top private banking talent to all three offices,” a Citi spokesman told Family Wealth Report.

The move to Citi marks a return for the duo. Prior to Merrill, Goettert was a managing director for Citibank's Global Asset Management Services Group, with responsibility for alternative investments and asset management. Before joining Merrill in 2000, Entenberg was a vice president and private banker at Citi Private Bank.

Goettert and Entenberg were both senior vice presidents and international financial advisors at Merrill.
