Ilya Timofeyev, Reporter in London, 17 August 2010

Eli Avrahampour has joined Citi Private Bank in the capacity of managing director and senior private banker at the bank’s Israel team, WealthBriefing understands.

In his new London-based role, Avrahampour will focus on ultra high net worth clients in Israel as well as the Israeli/Jewish community in the UK.

Prior to joining Citi, Avrahampour spent the last 13 years at Merrill Lynch in London as a senior relationship manager in the private banking division, with the title of first vice president. He also worked for Shearson Lehman as a senior vice president before setting up Eli Associates, a financial services consultancy.

In other recent developments, earlier this month Manav Abrol, head of investment advisory and sales at Citi Private Bank Geneva, was relocated to head up the investment advisory and sales team in Singapore.
