Citi Private Bank Boosts San Francisco Team

Citi Private Bank has continued to beef up its west coast presence, adding Ann Hamilton to its San Francisco office as director and trust & estate advisor and Bimal Patel as director and investment counselor, also in San Francisco.

Hamilton will report to Art Giacosa, Citi Trust region head for US and Latin America.  Previously, she was senior vice president and regional trust consultant for Morgan Stanley Trust in San Francisco.  Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2003, Hamilton was vice president with Bank of America Private Bank in San Francisco.  Previously, she spent 10 years with Citi Private Bank as a senior trust officer both in Florida and San Francisco.

Patel will report to Erik Ridgley, western region head of investments for Citi Private Bank. Previously he was senior portfolio manager for Columbia Management in San Francisco.  Prior to joining Columbia in 2006, Mr. Patel spent six years with Bank of America where his most recent role was head of quantitative portfolio management for Bank of America Private Bank.

In an interview with Family Wealth Report last week, Citi Private Bank chief executive Peter Charrington outlined the banks’ ambitious expansion plans for the coming year. (To view that story, click here).
