Citi Private Bank has hired Daniel Gay as a senior private banker with primary focus on Abu Dhabi-based ultra high net worth clients, according to AMEInfo.

Mr Gay has 22 years of private banking experience in Arab markets including Saudi Arabia and the UAE. For the past six years, he has been based in Abu Dhabi, primarily as head of the private bank for UBS there.

Mr Gay has also held senior positions at Credit Agricole Indosuez and Credit Suisse, again with a primary focus on the Middle East.

Citi did not immediately respond to this publication's request for confirmation of the appointment.
