Savant Wealth Management Names New CFO
The finance chief has worked in the financial services sector for more than three decades. His new firm has been on an expansion drive, snapping up 11 RIAs, tax, and accounting firms last year.
Savant Wealth
Management, the RIA, has named Jon W Zindel as its chief
financial officer.
Before this role, Zindel served as partner, CFO and executive
committee member at Chicago’s William Blair, where, over the
course of 12 years, he also led technology, human resources, real
estate, and philanthropy. Zindel, who has worked in the
financial services space for more than three decades, began his
career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He also served as CFO and head
of tax and financial reporting for 16 years at American Century
Investments, headquartered in Kansas City.
“We realized about a year ago that we needed someone with
in-depth knowledge, experience, and creative problem-solving
ability to help Savant accelerate its long-term growth,” Brent
Brodeski, Savant’s CEO, said. “We made the decision to part ways
with our previous CFO at the end of August and began a nationwide
search to find a proven industry leader to help us scale our
platform for growth. Jon more than fits the bill.”
At the end of 2023, Savant had 538 employees and 170 employee
member-owners. It has been in expansion mode, buying 11 RIAs and
tax and accounting firms in 2023 alone, increasing assets under
management to almost $26 billion.
