The UK wealth management firm continues to push its sustainability credentials.

Wealth Management, the UK firm that is part of
Liechtenstein’s LGT, has
appointed Siobhan Archer (pictured) as global stewardship
lead.
In this new role, Archer will lead LGT’s global stewardship
initiatives, driving the company’s strategy and implementing
voting, engagement activities and policy advocacy. She will work
with LGT Group’s management teams across the UK, EMEA and APAC to
add more strength to their stewardship capabilities, as part
of the company’s net zero 2030 strategy, the firm said in a
statement yesterday.
Reporting to Phoebe Stone, head of sustainable investing, Archer
will provide strategic input on the company’s net zero,
biodiversity and human rights work and act as the primary point
of contact on collaborative engagements and external working
groups.
“Having led the implementation of the stewardship strategy in the
UK for the last two years, Siobhan brings a wealth of experience
and will excel in this role. She has worked closely with our
equity research teams to expand voting to all directly held
equities, voting on over 3,000 proposals, and engaging both
individually and collaboratively through global
initiatives,” Stone said.
This news comes amid several key developments in the stewardship
space, including LGT joining Nature Action 100, a collaborative
biodiversity initiative which will see investors demand greater
transparency on companies’ impacts and dependencies on nature,
and becoming a supporter to the Global Investor Commission on
Mining 2030 – announced last week.
“Sustainability is fundamental to our corporate philosophy and
Siobhan’s experience and knowledge will be a valuable asset as we
look to drive positive change through our stewardship
activities,” Ben Snee, CEO at LGT wealth management,
said.
Archer brings extensive experience and a strong track record in
stewardship and sustainable investing. She has worked in LGT’s
Sustainable Investing team since 2021 as a sustainable investment
specialist. Previously, she worked for the Principles for
Responsible Investment (UN PRI) and at Arabesque Asset Management
in ESG research and advisory.

strategy.
