Close Brothers AM Names New Director
The senior hire will support the firm’s growth plans and bolster its bespoke offering.
Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has appointed Peter Horton as senior investment director and head of CBAM’s new office in Cheltenham, to support the firm’s growth plans and bolster its bespoke offering.
The new Cheltenham office, which opened in August, reflects CBAM’s regional growth strategy. The office is shared between a number of investment directors, including Charles Lawson, Charlotte Selby-Richards, Ed Mawle and Charlie Purves. See more here.
Horton will provide bespoke investment services, managing portfolios for high net worth clients, the firm said in a statement. Collaborating with financial advisors, he will help clients achieve their aspirations and financial goals.
Previously, Horton was a divisional director at Investec Wealth for over 17 years, based in Birmingham and Cheltenham. He is also a Chartered Wealth Manager and a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the firm continued.

The business operates from offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Chichester, Edinburgh, Farnham, Gatwick, Glasgow, Guernsey, London, Manchester, Midlands, Newcastle and Northwich.
