The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Stonehage Fleming
Stonehage Fleming, the multi-family office, has appointed Taymour Mortagui as a director and senior client relationship manager in its Zurich family office arm.

Mortagui joins with more than a decade’s experience to the role. Prior to this, he worked as managing director and head of Middle East for Covario AG, a cryptocurrency primary dealer business. Before that, he was a relationship manager at Arab Bank Switzerland, and an assistant RM for Bank Am Belevue AG (Investment Partners).

His role is to drive the firm’s expansion further into the MENA market, it said in a statement. Mortagui is based in Zurich, reporting to Caroline Bauer, head of the Zurich family office business.

C. Hoare
CHoare, the UK's owned bank, has appointed Andrew Leach as a relationship manager for the North West of England.

The appointment forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to bolster its UK regional presence and further expand its presence in the North West, with a particular focus on entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses.

In his new role, Leach will work with Simon King, who joined the bank in 2021 as a senior relationship manager.

Leach joins from NatWest, where he was a senior relationship manager for the West Midlands. He previously worked in private banking at Coutts, and brings a blend of experience working with both business owners and high net worth customers.
