BRI Wealth Management this week appointed Dean Smith to join its board and promoted him to finance director and company secretary. Previously he was the firm's finance controller and company secretary.

Smith joined BRI in 2004 to assist in the administration and finance department, before progressing to the role of finance controller, the firm said in a statement.

In his new position, Smith will use his experience to provide BRI with financial and strategic guidance to continue on its path of  sustainable growth, the firm added.

Dan Boardman-Weston, executive chairman at BRI Wealth Management, said: “Throughout his long tenure at BRI, Dean has played an integral role in helping us become the successful firm we are today. We are privileged to be able to continue utilising his significant expertise and relevant skill set to continue our momentum.”

Smith added: “I have always believed strongly in BRI’s mission to provide a professional, personal and friendly service, and am honoured to step up my role at the company and involvement in its bright future.”

BRI Wealth provides advice on a range of areas including investment management, financial planning, ISAs, pensions, inheritance tax planning and tax relieved investments, typically to private clients, charities, trusts, intermediaries and corporations.
