Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Multrees, JP Morgan Private Bank

To meet its growth objectives, Multrees Investor Services has appointed financial services experts Ian Catherall and Martyn Johnson to create an accelerated transformation programme.

Multrees Investor Services has made two senior hires: Ian Catherall as head of change and proposition management and Martyn Johnson as programme director.

Catherall, who came from Barclays, will be responsible for driving the business change agenda and enhancing Multrees' proposition. His expertise comes from a wide range of change, proposition and service delivery roles in wealth management, private banking and stockbroking, as well as having been programme director at Barclays Private Bank.

With more than 20 years of experience within the financial services industry, Johnson will work with Catherall. Johnson specialises in defining and delivering business transformation programmes, most recently at JP Morgan within the digital platform services business.

“We are on a strong growth trajectory and supporting our clients to ensure they receive-cutting edge services and truly innovative solutions, remains at the core of what we do,” Glenn Murphy, chief operating officer at Multrees said.

Multrees, a provider of outsourced platform, investment administration and custody services, has seen rapid growth over the past few years with assets under administration up 40 per cent over the past two years. The business also opened a third office in Glasgow to support the head office in Edinburgh and the business hub in London. This news service interviewed Multrees' chief executive Chris Fisher about challenges in the sector, such as the battle for talent.

JP Morgan Private Bank
JP Morgan Private Bank today expanded its award-winning advisor team by appointing Andrés Cassinello Herrera as senior concentrated positions specialist in London.

Cassinello Herrera will lead the private bank’s strategic equity solutions in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Specifically, he helps clients with concentrated holdings of equities, such as ways in which to diversify or hedge exposures.

“Andrés brings a wealth of expertise in investment banking and private-side structuring solutions for JP Morgan’s corporate clients and family offices, which will seamlessly benefit private bank clients,” Scott Schnipper, head of private bank cross asset solutions, said.

Before this role, Cassinello Herrera had been an executive director on the JP Morgan corporate and investment bank’s strategic equity solutions team since 2019. Prior to joining that US firm, he spent the previous nine years with the UBS Investment Bank in a similar role, with specific responsibilities for Southern Europe and South America.
