After a record inflow figure in 2020, the French firm said that it had logged robust new client business figures in 2021. It also broadcast its social responsible investment fund numbers.

La Financière de l’Echiquier added a net €920 million ($1.044 billion) to funds under management in 2021, although decelerating from a record €1.7 billion net inflow in 2020.

Total assets under management were €14.5 billion at 31 December 2021, up from €12.2 billion a year before. The Paris-based firm has grown by an average pace of 19 per cent in each of the last three years, it said in a statement on Friday.

LFDE broadcast having stepped up its focus on social responsible investment, now boasting 14 SRI-labelled funds in France or overseas. At end-2021, SRI and impact strategies accounted for €7.7 billion of assets under management, small and mid-cap strategies for €5.6 billion and global thematic strategies for €2.6 billion.

On the institutional side, LFDE manages almost €6 billion of institutional money, it said.

“These latest record results are a further endorsement of the rightness of our strategies and pioneering and innovative market positioning,” Bettina Ducat (pictured), chief executive of La Financière de l’Echiquier, said.
